Anita holds a bachelor's degree in English from Shippensburg University and a master's degree in library and information science with an emphasis in archives and records management from the University of Pittsburgh. Before joining UVA in 2019, she worked at Emory University as the records manager, and before that was a records analyst, and later section coordinator, for the Records Analysis Section at the Library of Virginia. She earned the Certified Records Analyst (CRA) designation from the ICRM in 2022.

Her main duties include handling general records management inquiries and RM3 reviews, delivering records management and University Records Management Application (URMA) training, and doing site visits, clean-outs, and consultations. Anita is also responsible for assisting with FOIA/eDiscovery requests and managing the website.
