Jessie holds a bachelor's degree in history from Northern Arizona University and a master's degree in history with an emphasis in archives and records from Wright State University.  She spent nine years as an archivist at the Library of Virginia (LVA) and two years as a records management and information analyst at LVA before joining the UVA Records Management Office in March 2015. She earned the Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation from the ICRM in 2021.

Her main duties include handling general records management inquiries and RM3 reviews, delivering records management and University Records Management Application (URMA) training, and doing site visits, clean-outs, and consultations. Jessie is also responsible for managing the URMA system.
